Randy the dolphin: phantom or signal?
During our visit to the marine aquarium, the Oceanopolis, here in Brest, we heard a startling piece of information. Not long ago, off the coast of Brittany, a regular visitor was spotted. This was the lone male Bottlenose Dolphin who is known as Randy. This dolphin has a special significance for us and the story goes back a few years, before Morganonline was born, to A meeting with King Melchizedek of Salem.
As well as in Brittany, Randy has been seen in the Channel Islands, Great Britain, Belgium and of course in Dinteloord in the Netherlands, where I brought him back to sea in 2002. There are conflicting accounts of Randy’s movements. While some sources report him being seen off the coast of Brittany in late 2006, others report that Randy, after my special encounter with him and after a visit to the Channel Islands, was killed in an accident with a speedboat.
Will we meet Randy again? We are asking anyone with more information about him to get in touch with us.
When I walk Quirky late in the evening around the harbour, I can’t help but look over the water hoping to see the fin of an old friend.
